Use Gmail for your email hosted with PaywallProject

If you are hosting your email with PaywallProject and wish to use your personal Gmail account to send/receive emails, see the instructions below:


Setting up your incoming email with Gmail:


  • Log into Gmail.
  • On the right-hand side click the Settings wheel.
  • From the dropdown, select “Settings” and then the tab “Accounts and Import“.
  • Halfway down the page click the link "Add a mail account"  on the “Check mail from other accounts:" section. You will now be greeted with a popup.
  • Enter your email address and click Next Step
  1. Username: Your username will again be your email address, ex. you@yourdomain.com
  2. Password: Enter your password to your email account.
  3. POP Server: pop.emailarray.com
  4. Port: 995
  5. Check the box for “Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.” The rest are optional and up to you.
  6. Click “Add Account”.

You now have successfully added your PaywallProject email account to your Gmail account. Any new emails received will now land in your Gmail account!


Setting up your outgoing email with Gmail:


  • Log into Gmail.
  • On the right-hand side click the Settings wheel.
  • From the dropdown, select “Settings” and then the tab “Accounts and Import“.
  • Third column down click on the link “Add another email address” on the "Send mail as" section. You will now be greeted with a popup.
  1. Name: Enter your name as you want it to appear on the email.
  2. Email address: Enter in your BigScoots email
  • Click “Next Step”
  1. SMTP Server: smtp.emailarray.com
  2. Port: 465
  3. Username: Your username will again be your email address
  4. Password: Enter your password to your email account.
  5. Fill in the circle for “Secured connection using SSL“

You have now added the ability to send emails on behalf of your@domain.com email hosted with PaywallProject.
